The Ocean Heal Shipping Company is the first sailing charitable non profit shipping company worldwide.
Founded by Lars-Eric Groening in Hamburg Germany.

Ocean Heal Shipping Company gUG (haftungsbeschränkt)
The (gUG) title means in German
“gemeinützige Unternehmergesellschaft”.
That is a charitable non profit company which is qualified by the German tax authorities as a public benefit company.
It also requires that our company have to fullfill several conditions to maintain this qualification.
The O.H.S.C. is not allowed to make any profit by German law. That’s wy all the money which the O.H.S.C. can get through any donations, is only allowed to get used for the charitable aim and goals or ideals for what the O.H.S.C. was set up.
This charitable aims, goals and ideals as well as the decleration of our selflessness are written down in the O.H.S.C. statutes. We call it “Gesellschaftsvertrag” (bylaws). This bylaws are declared and registered by the German government.

Being qualified as a public benefit company has also tax advantages for German citizens and companys, donating
to The Ocean Heal Shipping Company.
It means that the amount of donated money to us, can’t get taxed by the income tax return at the end of the year. Everybody who is donating us receives atomatically a special formular for it.
This paper is also known as “Spendenbescheid” or “Zuwendungsbestätigung”. It is specially for the German tax office.
This option from the German government, is only given to real charitable institutions like us.
We don’t want to make us or other ones rich, we just want to make us and other ones better!
